The 2024 Co-Ed Grit Summer Training program is available with a variety of on-ice and off-ice focus to develop skills. Training is 8 weeks.
There are a variety of options and packages to assist with skating. You may choose and participate on the Skatemill or the Blade Treadmill.
The program is based on establishing a strong foundation for skating. Translating the foundation to make improvements for speed, body angles, knee bend, and more.
Goalie camp will be in Duluth from June 9 to 12 at the Heritage Arena. Online registration begins January 18 at 9:00 a.m.
Glen Avon is part of a proud and enduring legacy in the city of Duluth, Minnesota with the last outdoor neighborhood hockey association in the United States. It serves the Hunters Park neighborhood in Duluth.
Established in 1947, Glen Avon's PeeWee team won National titles in 1951, 1952 and 1958. In addition to producing many players who have advanced to a high level of play, Glen Avon has provided a place for thousands of neighborhood kids and families to learn to skate and participate in the game of hockey. Today the Ice Mites, Mite 1's, Mite 2's and Squirts develop their skills at outdoor practices and games.
